Office Hours
To ensure we can provide you with dedicated attention, we recommend contacting us before your visit to schedule an appointment with our staff or clergy ( or 703-370-9400).
Beth El Hebrew Congregation prioritizes the safety and security of our congregants, clergy, staff, and community. We maintain comprehensive security measures through careful preparation, community partnerships, and ongoing training.
We stay current with best practices in synagogue security and provide regular guidance to our community. This includes safety information during Shabbat and High Holiday services, emergency drills in our Religious School, and thorough training for our volunteer ushers.
We have received multiple grants from the Department of Homeland Security to enhance our security infrastructure and protocols.
For the safety of our community, we do not publish specific security details on our website.
For more information about our safety and security measures, please contact our synagogue office at 703-370-9400. We will connect you with the appropriate person or committee to address your inquiry.
We strive to make our community welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for our members and guests. Our goal is to make sure that all who come through our doors can participate in worship and other activities as fully as they desire.
Creating a truly accessible and inclusive environment is an ongoing effort that is headed by our congregation’s Inclusion & Disabilities Committee. The accommodations listed below are available to improve access to our building, grounds, and programs. Please contact our main office for additional information or to request other accommodations.
Additionally, individuals and families sometimes need help with mental health or disability issues when they are not at Beth El. Therefore, we have created a “Mental Health and Disabilities Resource List” (phone numbers and links) for services available in Northern VA, often round-the-clock, to help manage serious situations and perhaps even avert a crisis.
